ID NEEDED WHEN VOTING

These instructions are for residents of Pima County, Arizona. 
National voter registration information can be found at vote411.org

Identification will be needed at Voting Sites to:

  • Vote in person

  • Get a replacement ballot-by-mail ballot

  • Get a replacement ballot-by-mail affidavit envelope

Note: there is NO SAME DAY REGISTRATION in Arizona.  

You must register to vote at least 29 days before the election that you want to vote in.

 

Acceptable ID

Acceptable Photo Identification (one needed):

  • Arizona Driver's License

  • Arizona-issued Identification Card

  • Tribal Enrollment Card or other form of tribal identification

  • U.S. federal, state or local government-issued ID, with your name and address printed on it.

To be accepted as photo ID, your ID must be current (not expired) and match the name and address on your voter registration (how to update it), and include a photo of you.

OR . . .

Acceptable Name & Address Document (two needed):

  • Utility bill (dated within 90 days)

  • Bank or credit union statement (dated within 90 days)

  • Valid Arizona vehicle registration

  • Arizona vehicle insurance card

  • Indian census card

  • Tribal enrollment card or other form of tribal identification

  • Property tax statement

  • Arizona vehicle insurance card

  • Recorder’s Certificate of status

  • Voter Registration card

  • Valid federal, state or local government issued identification card

  • Any mail addressed to you that includes the “Official Election Mail” logo

OR . . .

You may bring a combination of:

  • One item from the "Acceptable Name & Address Document" list + Photo ID that is expired or has an address that does not match your voter registration

  • One item from the "Acceptable Name & Address Document" list + military ID without address

  • One item from the "Acceptable Name & Address Document" list + US passport without address
