Who We Are

For over a hundred years, the League of Women Voters has been a trusted source of objective, nonpartisan election information for voters. In 1957 the League of Women Voters Education Fund was established to encourage the active and informed participation of citizens in government and to increase understanding of major public policy issues.  This educational arm of the League focuses on educational efforts only and is not involved in the League’s advocacy work.

Recent elections have been conducted in an atmosphere of intense uncertainty and confusion. Voters have many questions about what is happening that deserve straight, practical answers.

Ready. Set. Vote! Is a program sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Greater Tucson Education Fund. Its purpose is to provide timely, accurate and non-partisan information about voting in Southern Arizona. Our goals are to:

  • Provide tools that will help voters navigate the electoral process.
  • Provide balanced information on issues that appear on the ballot.
  • Encourage voters to participate to the fullest in our democratic system by voting in the Primary and General Elections.

Ready. Set. Vote! is one of many programs offered by the League of Women Voters.  Visit our website at LWVTucson.org to learn more about the programs we sponsor, activities we organize and policy positions we advocate. Click here to visit our main website…
